About MINCA
Structure and transparency
MINCA is an Incorporated Association, registered with the Australian Charities and not-for-profit Commission [ACNC]. It is run by volunteers elected annually by MINCA members to positions on the Management Committee. Meetings of the Management Committee are open to all MINCA members and invited guests.
Accountability
MINCA accounts are audited in accordance with its Rules of Association and lodged with the ACNC. Bank accounts are held with QCCU and account fees are minimized. MINCA activities are fully insured by arrangement with Qld Water and Land Carers Inc.

What do we do?
MINCA works to ensure that the species, habitats and biodiversity of World Heritage Magnetic Island and the waters around it are not damaged by human activity, and that development is sustainable and in line with the needs of future generations.

- Weeding and re-vegetation
- Manage Claude's Block
- Manage the Bolger Bay Conservation Park
- Contribute to clean-ups, environmental education and to environmental maintenance
- Raise funds to assist environmental projects
- Lobby for good environmental management policies and practices at all levels on Magnetic Island
- Continue to build an online Magnetic Island Environmental Resource Centre

We encourage you to add information to this website so that we can continue to build a detailed Environmental Resource Centre for Magnetic Island including information regarding the plants, weeds and trees, native animals, birds, reptiles and frogs, butterflies, spiders, insects and bugs, geology and life in the ocean around Magnetic Island.
