Claude's Ephemeral Art Trail 2024

Claude's Ephemeral Art Trail 2024

Each year during the winter months MINCA holds a series of Winter Walks designed to bring like-minded people together to explore and gain a greater understanding of the natural beauty of Yunbenun (Magnetic Island).  With the final walk for 2024 destined to finish at Claude’s block, and wanting to celebrate the regenerative work happening there, we invited other creative types to join us in creating an ephemeral art trail for the final section of the walk.

Over a five -week period and using only natural found objects such as twigs, bark, branches, fronds, rocks, earth, grass etc. over 32 works were created, encouraging the walkers to look more closely at their surroundings.
