Wanting to do the right thing by not dumping electronic waste at the tip but fed up with storing all those bits of no-longer-functioning electronic office equipment?

Help is at hand. MINCA has organised a free, two-day only electronic waste clean-up on the island.

Between 8am and 3pm on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September bring your office-type electronic waste (computer monitors, keyboards, hard drives, laptops, modems, printers, cables, chargers, phones, fax machines, answering machines etc) to 64A Kelly St, Nelly Bay. There it will be placed in a skip that will then be transported to Buyequip in town who will reuse or recycle as much of it as is possible.

Please note that we CANNOT accept TVs or white goods (fridges, washing machines etc). Nor can waste be accepted outside the set hours.

We are grateful to Roo and Kerrie from DTE Excavations for the use of their space for this community clean-up of electronic waste.

Spread the word but please remember – no TVs or white goods!
