PLANTS OF MAGNETIC ISLAND
Magnetic Island is one of the three most ecologically diverse islands in the Great Barrier Reef World heritage Area.
Its wide variety of habitats support over 690 native plants. This makes Magnetic Island one of the World Heritage Area’s two most botanically rich islands, comparable with the much larger Hinchinbrook Island.
The current list (Dec 2023) of plants that have been found on the Magnetic Island, including both native and introduced, can be found here.
